Our Purpose

IRIS has created the 'Socket Pocket' to ensure the safety of your mobile device while it is on charge.

This universal, eco-friendly product has been created especially for the protection from scratches, children, pets or anything which may compromise the security of your phone. Simply latch the product onto your plug and place your phone in it to ensure its safety!

No need to worry about inconveniently balancing your phone on plugs anymore; IRIS is here to propose a safe option everyone can benefit from.

Socket Pocket: The Creation

Our thought process

Although it was difficult to create a product which would be sustainable, the IRIS team found a way.

With the help of teamwork and after hours of brainstorming we narrowed down our ideas, focusing on The Socket Pocket.

Our brand is eco-friendly and affordable. It's designed for, and suported by, the community. We funded our project through a school non-uniform day and multiple fairs in which our group members were able to actively discuss the product with relevant target markets.

IRIS also has a great desire to give back to the community, therefore we have decided to donate 100% of our profits to a local charity.

Sustainability

Considering Our Environment

All IRIS products are made of reusable and recyclable materials. Our hand crafted Socket Pockets and our gorgeous coasters are both made of eco-freindly cork. In its natural form, cork is a very good fire retardant. This material also contains a chemical in its cell membrane which allows it to be impermeable to liquids and gasses.

We use the finest cork from Portugal. The providers are a family business based in Manchester, which means the environmental costs are reduced.

To ensure the long duration of these products, we have applied a protective sealant, ultimately preventing most external damage.

Other product materials include metal and cotton webbing.
